A lifelong resident of Orange County, NY, Hale Adler, Sr. first entered the vending business as a teenager. Working for a concessionaire at Bear Mountain State Park, Hale Sr. found a passion for the profession, and was quickly handed the responsibility of managing the concessions operation. Although active service in the The Army forced Hale Sr. away from the concession at Bear Mountain, his love of the business was not lost. Hale Sr. eventually returned to vending, managing the VENDO supply warehouse, a space specifically designed to service vending operators.
In 1979, the concessionaire at Bear Mountain decided to sub out the vending, which allowed Hale Sr. to return to the place where his passion for vending was established. Shortly after the announcement was made, Hale Sr. started the HGA Vending company. With the help of his sons - Hale Jr. and Ken - Hale Sr. built a business focused on family and service, dedicated to making customers happy. When the time came for Hale Sr. to retire, Hale Jr. took over. With the help of his brother, Hale Jr. and Ken expanded a company that was built on a devotion to success and passion for the vending business.
To this day, HGA continues to service Bear Mountain State Park, and has grown to satisfy all of the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas. From being the first company in the Northeast to vend bottled water, to using Cantaloupe Systems and providing Micro Market services, HGA Vending is unified by family and driven by you!
